In the waters of baptism you give us new birth.
Baptism is the sign of new life in Jesus Christ. In Christianity, baptism is the act by which a person is admitted as a member of the Church. People can be baptized at any age, from infant to adult. Parents bringing their children to be baptized make a commitment to nurture them in the faith and life of the Christian community.
At St. Luke’s, baptism takes place during one of our Sunday worship services. To learn more, get in touch with the church office.
Let their love for each other be a seal upon their hearts.
Christian marriage celebrates the union of a couple in the context of their relationship with Christ and the whole Christian family. To be married in an Anglican church, one of you needs to be baptized. This is something our priest will be happy to talk about with you. Previously divorced individuals are welcome to be married at St. Luke’s.
To talk about celebrating your marriage with us, please call the church office.
Give rest, O Christ, to your servants with your saints, where sorrow and pain are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting.
Christians believe that the end of this life on earth is the beginning of a glorious new life in Christ. Anglican funerals try to balance our grief with a celebration of the life of the deceased, and faith in the hope of the resurrection.
We would be honoured to walk with you and support you in this difficult time. Please get in touch with the church office to arrange a funeral or memorial service at St. Luke’s.
